Chimney Pots

A chimney pot is one of the highest-impact, lowest-effort exterior upgrades you can make to a chimney at your home. It transforms the most visible vertical element on your roofline from a utilitarian metal cap into a finished architectural feature — and combines the function of three separate chimney products (chimney cap, spark arrestor, and flue extender) into a single piece that improves draft, keeps out rain and animals, and arrests sparks from escaping the flue.

Our collection features 14 distinct designs from American Chimney Shroud, made in the USA and available in four finish options to match any architectural style and any budget — from value-priced paint-grade galvanized to premium solid copper.

Designs to Match Your Architecture

Each design has its own architectural character. Tudor and Hampshire suit English country and Old World homes. Lighthouse brings nautical character to coastal cottages. Beacon and Statesman make a statement on grand traditional homes. Cabo and Manchester work for transitional and Colonial designs. Guardsman fits Gothic Revival and castle-style architecture. Balboa, La Jolla, and Villa suit Spanish, Mediterranean, and Italianate homes. Biloxi and Cape Cod work for Southern coastal and classic New England styles. Elegance is at home on refined French Country and Georgian builds.

Sizes range from 18" x 30" to 22" x 46" (base × height) — scaled to read clearly from street level and balance the visual weight of a full-size masonry chimney.

Four Finish Options

Paint-Grade Galvanized — Most Affordable, Fully Customizable

Hot-dipped galvanized steel with a protective zinc coating, shipped unpainted and ready to accept your choice of exterior paint. The paint provides the long-term weather barrier and lets you match the pot exactly to your home, trim, or roof color. This is the most affordable option in the lineup.

Kynar Colored Metal — 29 Factory-Applied Colors, Ready to Install

Factory-applied Kynar 500 (PVDF) coating in 29 fade-resistant colors — the same finish system used on premium architectural metal roofing. Ships ready to install with a long-life weatherproof color finish, no priming or painting required. Best for homeowners who want a finished look without the field paint job, or want a color that holds up better than field-applied paint.

Stainless Steel — Contemporary Aesthetic, Zero Maintenance

Uncoated stainless alloy provides genuine weather resistance throughout the metal — the alloy itself doesn't need any coating to perform. The clean brushed finish stays consistent over time, never needs touch-ups, and complements contemporary metal roofing, dark trim, and architectural updates to traditional homes.

Solid Copper — Premium Architectural Material

20 oz solid copper, the most prestigious material in our chimney pot line and the same architectural-grade copper used in premium roofing, gutters, and historic restoration. Begins life as bright polished copper, weathers through warm brown and plum tones, and eventually develops the iconic verdigris green patina that defines copper roofing on historic buildings and high-end homes.

All Designs Triple as Cap, Spark Arrestor, and Flue Extender

Every chimney pot in this collection performs three jobs at once:

  • Chimney cap — keeps rain, snow, leaves, and animals out of the flue
  • Spark arrestor — contains burning embers that could otherwise drift onto the roof or neighboring trees
  • Flue extender — adds effective height to the chimney for improved draft, especially helpful on shorter chimneys or those in turbulent rooftop airflow

A chimney pot also helps satisfy local building code requirements for masonry chimney termination height and weather protection — replacing the need to install a separate metal chimney cap on top of the flue tile.

Made in the USA by American Chimney Shroud

All chimney pots in this collection are manufactured in the United States by American Chimney Shroud, a trusted name in architectural chimney products. Each pot ships ready to install on a standard masonry chimney crown.
