This can be easily remedied by installing a new top sealing damper to your chimney. We carry the Lyemance, Seal Tight and Lock-Top energy-saving dampers.
These dampers come with a lifetime warranty, stainless steel cable which attaches to the side of the firebox for easy opening, and all hardware & silicone included. 40 and 50 foot cables are available if needed.
We do not recommend using top-sealing dampers with gas logs because failure to open them could cause carbon monoxide to back up into the house.
