ChimneySaver Water Repellent is the product to use to solve moisture problems with your masonry chimney. All chimneys will suffer from moisture problems at some time due to bricks being porous and absorbing moisture. This eventually leads to openings in mortar joints or spawling (flaking off) of the bricks due to freezing and thawing contraction.
ChimneySaver Water Repellent prevents moisture from penetrating the masonry but allows moisture to wick from the inside to the outside.
